As much of my earlier work, this piece was painted prior to my having a Born Again experience on July 10, 1996. It instantly changed, among other things, my entire political perspective. I’ve been a Christian conservative since that date. However, at the time, this is where I was, and this presents an insight into the mind of the liberal I had been my entire life. The guy with the “clown nose” is Rush Limbaugh, and the man on the medal is Newt Gingrich.
